I've been living in de Florida Keys for a year and a half and find it fascinating and admirable to see how much effort and energy is being developed and spent to maintain the flora and fauna here. It is inspiring to see the legal authorities, nature associations and volunteers work together to promote the protection and the reproduction of many species. In my opinion they set an example that should be followed by many countries, such as my home country "Belgium". Plus it's a wonderful feeling to be part of the process whether it is rescuing a bird, attending the release of a sea turtle or holding a 600kg whale and get a smile from her. I did it and believe me after these few experiences you see your role in nature preservation completely different. Belgium should protect its animal species before it is too late and before most of them leave the Belgian territory or worse get extinct. Preserve your natural wealth while you still have it and you still can.
