Sinds oktober 2020 hangen in Oordegem donkere wolken boven onze atletiekclub Vlierzele Sportief. Sport Vlaanderen stoot het Putbosdomein af en de Vlaamse en lokale overheden komen (nog) niet tot een vergelijk.
In het belang van onze meer dan 500 atleten én de vele nationale en internationale atleten die we jaarlijks op onze piste mogen ontvangen willen we de beleidsmakers nogmaals oproepen samen met de club te zoeken naar een constructieve oplossing.
Sla de handen in elkaar, stop met denken in hokjes en kijk naar wat echt telt! Atletiek is de moeder der sporten en net als andere sporten in clubverband van cruciaal belang voor fysieke en mentale gezondheid alsook sociaal welzijn!

Since October 2020, dark clouds have hung over our athletics club Vlierzele Sportief in Oordegem. Sport Vlaanderen is selling off the Putbos domain and the Flemish and local authorities have not (yet) come to an agreement.
In the interest of our more than 500 athletes and the many national and international athletes we welcome each year on our track, we would like to call on the policy makers once again to look for a constructive solution together with the club.
Join forces, stop thinking in terms of boxes and look at what really counts! Athletics is the mother of all sports and like other sports in a club context, crucial for physical and mental health as well as social welfare!

Depuis octobre 2020, des nuages sombres planent sur notre club d'athlétisme Vlierzele Sportief à Oordegem. Sport Vlaanderen vend le domaine de Putbos et les autorités flamandes et locales ne sont pas (encore) parvenues à un accord.
Dans l'intérêt de nos plus de 500 athlètes et des nombreux athlètes nationaux et internationaux que nous accueillons chaque année sur notre piste, nous souhaitons appeler une nouvelle fois les décideurs politiques à rechercher une solution constructive avec le club.
Unissez vos forces, arrêtez de penser en termes de boîtes et regardez ce qui compte vraiment! L'athlétisme est la mère de tous les sports et, tout comme les autres sports dans un contexte de club, il est crucial pour la santé physique et mentale ainsi que pour le bien-être social!
