They're not my words, they're the words from a muslim who explains to you nitwits that it is not his responsibility to state his opinion on world matters every single time something happens somewhere with some muslim involved. And he's right about that. Do you have to explain every action taken anywhere by anyone who shares your believe system? Would you want to explain every single time? No, you don't. But you insist that every muslim does.

Again, how dare you call the author of the open letter or me, a 'coward'. Because someone in a different part of the country shouted "death to the jews" or threw a stone?  No, I do not have to explain every action taken anywhere by people sharing my same belief system. But if people sharing my belief system shouted "Death to...." (replace ..... with any group of innocent people) I would have a moral obligation SPONTANEOUSLY to distantiate myself publicly and clearly from such cries.

In that case: YES, I have to do something about it. In fact, I am doing things about that cry with all the means that are at my disposal, even this petition.

But you, advocate a quiet life: not my business, let it go. Well, sir, I really hope for you that you NEVER will hear someone shout "Death to...."(replace .... by your children, or family).
